Announcement- Disaster Alert Update, 01/20/23

In addition to the previously declared counties listed below, the following disaster declaration is being issued or modified today pertaining to:

  • Alabama

California Severe Winter Storms, Flooding and Mudslides - Potential for Impact
California Severe Winter Storms, Flooding and Mudslides continues to cause wide-spread and severe damage. Additional areas may be added. PHH will continue to monitor for impact and advise as needed.

FEMA has officially announced a Presidentially Declared Disaster (DR) and provided the initial impacted counties; however, PHH Mortgage will continue to take steps to mitigate potential exposure or loss. Counties not identified in the DR but included in the Discretionary Disaster Declaration will continue to need to meet the requirements as directed in Announcement 2023-103 Discretionary Disaster – CA Flooding.  PHH Mortgage will provide a future update on how to proceed regarding counties not included in the DR, as it may take a few weeks for FEMA to assess all counties for impact.
